In a passionate appeal to the public on Thursday at the We FM 106.3 Abuja Radio Show, Dr. Anne Adah-Ogoh, Head of Policy and Programmes, PSHAN presented a roadmap for reviving the Nigerian health sector.
Dr. Anne highlighted the direct impact of a struggling health sector on the nation and stressed the need for increased investment in healthcare infrastructure and modern medical technologies.
She advocated for a strong focus on preventive healthcare, health education, and disease surveillance especially in rural areas to address health issues proactively. She urged the government and private sector to collaborate in developing innovative public health campaigns and policies aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles and reducing the burden of preventable diseases.
She concluded by citing PSHAN’s role in the fight to bring quality healthcare to the Nigerian populace. And called for support on ongoing and future initiatives spearheaded by Nigeria’s Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria.
