The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation asks Nigerians to nominate PHCs for revitalisation
The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, a philanthropic non-profit organisation, has announced a nationwide call for nominations of primary healthcare centres (PHCs) due for revitalisation in Nigeria.
In a statement on Thursday, the organisation said the initiative, facilitated by the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN), is part of the adopt-a-healthcare-facility programme (ADHFP).
“The nomination campaign will run from November 4th to December 31st, 2024.
“Primary healthcare centres are indispensable to community health, providing essential services such as immunisations, maternal care, and disease prevention.
“Yet, despite the existence of over 30,000 of them nationwide, approximately 80 percent lack the resources necessary to deliver basic healthcare services.
